Sports Aid

21 March 2016

A well done goes to all staff and students for undertaking the activities put in place to raise money for Sports Aid.

It was a great afternoon of basketball between staff, 6th form and year 11. Staff came out overall winners and Mr. Lewis scored an impressive shot – he took all day to prepare!

The year 7 charity club ran a lunchtime ‘tuck shop’ that was well supported as well as giving their time at the basketball game to keep players and supporters well fed and watered. They also did an ‘extra’ tuck shop at the whole school lunch break to raise extra funds.

The highlight could be said to be the ‘Throw the sponges’ at your PE staff where students paid 20p a go to throw sponges at staff. Miss. Green and Mr. Elmes got particularly wet!

The money raised to date is £ 156.87.

A well done goes to Miss. Brown for all of the hard work and the commitment she has shown to this event and for engaging the students to support a worth while cause, also to the PE department who have supported this charity in every way they could.
