ACE Academy students had the opportunity to show off their talent in Handball at the Black Country School Games, whilst representing Sandwell. The Black Country School Games is an Olympic/Paralympic style school sport competition and a culmination of a myriad of competitive opportunities and events designed to engage and inspire more young people in sport.

All ACE Academy students put in strong performances to aid their team’s success in Handball. The Under 13 boy’s Handball team showed good team work and communication allowing them to finish third in the competition and to be award Bronze medals. The Under 15 boys made it to a very gripping final, but unfortunately came runners up to a very strong team.  However, the boys finished second in their age category for the whole of Black Country and were awarded Silver Medals.  The outstanding success of the day came from the Under 15 girls’ team, who won all of their matches to be crowned Black Country Champions in Handball and all received Gold Medals.
